Cancer Awareness Initiative
The Context
The Foundation’s cancer awareness initiative officially launched in October 2019.
The first awareness initiative established the structure that would continue in the years that followed: educational outreach, online awareness programming, community engagement, and counseling support throughout the month.
What began as a focused awareness effort would eventually grow into one of the Foundation’s longest-running and most sustained health education initiatives.
This is where it began.
What This Initiative Represents
Cancer affects individuals, families, and communities across every background.
The Foundation’s health initiative exists because early detection, education, and support should never feel financially or socially out of reach.
For over five years, the work has remained consistent through funded mammogram screenings, counseling support, awareness programming, educational outreach, and community-centered conversations carried across both digital and physical spaces.
What began as a focused awareness effort became one of the Foundation’s longest-running health initiatives and continues to shape its broader commitment to health education, preventive care awareness, and community wellbeing.
And every October, that work continues.
